Gammill Law Accident & Injury Lawyers is a plaintiff’s trial firm in Torrance, California. We represent people who were hurt, and families who lost someone, in personal injury, wrongful death, and civil rights cases across the South Bay, Los Angeles County, and the rest of California. David Gammill, a former Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney, founded the firm in 2018 and built it around one idea: every case is prepared as if a jury will decide it, because the cases that settle fairly are the ones the other side believes could be tried.
If you or someone in your family was hurt because someone else was careless, request a free case evaluation or call 310-750-4149. Every case is different, and past results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
David Gammill spent seven years as a Deputy District Attorney, trying serious felony cases to verdict. He then spent three years as a lead trial attorney at a Los Angeles civil rights and injury firm. In 2018 he opened Gammill Law Accident & Injury Lawyers in the South Bay, where he has lived since 2009, to represent injured people and grieving families in the communities he calls home. You can read his full background on his attorney profile.
The firm was built on a simple premise. Insurance companies and large defendants settle cases for what they believe a jury would award, and they know which law firms will actually take a case to trial. A firm that prepares every case for a courtroom changes the price of every case it handles, including the ones that never see a courtroom.
Gammill Law is a personal injury, wrongful death, and civil rights firm. We do not handle every kind of legal problem, and if yours is outside what we do, we will tell you and point you toward a lawyer who can help. Within our practice, the cases we handle most often are:
For the deadlines and rules that apply to these cases, see our plain-English guides on the California Injury Laws Explained page, or start with the Torrance personal injury attorney page.
Most injury cases settle. The settlement value depends on what would happen at trial. Adjusters and defense lawyers track which firms take cases to a jury and which ones do not, and they price their offers accordingly. Gammill Law prepares every case as if it will be tried, from the first phone call, so that the other side has to price it that way. Other lawyers refer cases to David when those cases are headed for trial, and he is regularly brought in as trial counsel on matters another firm has been handling.
That approach does not mean every case goes to court. Most do not. It means that when a fair offer comes, we can tell you honestly whether to take it, and when one does not come, we are ready. Every case is different, and past results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
Gammill Law has recovered more than $100 million for California clients across verdicts and settlements. Separately, the firm’s results include a $21.1 million wrongful death verdict, a $16 million school sexual abuse verdict, and a $12 million whistleblower retaliation verdict. Each of those figures comes from a specific case with its own facts, and no result is a promise about any other case. The full list is on our case results page, and what past clients have said is on our reviews page.
Our attorneys bring more than 40 years of combined legal experience to every case we take. When you hire Gammill Law, you work directly with David Gammill and the lawyers on your case, not a rotating cast of case handlers. Meet the attorneys.
David runs the firm on three rules, in his own words: “Treat every client like family. Prepare every case for trial. Never back down from a fight.” In practice that means you talk to your lawyer, not a call center; the firm builds every case as if a jury will decide it; and nobody here is looking for the quick, small settlement that ends the file.
There are no upfront fees. The firm is paid a percentage of the recovery, and only if it recovers, under a written contingency fee agreement that follows California law. If you want to understand exactly how that works before you call, read our guide to no-win, no-fee representation.
Our office is at 3820 Del Amo Blvd, Suite 304, Torrance, CA 90503. From there we serve the South Bay, including Torrance, the beach cities, the Palos Verdes Peninsula, Gardena, Carson, Hawthorne, Lawndale, and Lomita, along with the rest of Los Angeles County and clients across California. See our service areas page for the cities we serve.
If you or someone in your family was hurt because someone else was careless, call 310-750-4149 or request a free case evaluation. The consultation is free and confidential, and the firm answers calls in English and Spanish. Every case is different; the first conversation is about yours.
