What Is the Same in Every City

The deadline is the same everywhere in California. Most injury lawsuits must be filed within two years of the injury under CCP § 335.1, and a claim against a city, county, or other public entity usually has to be presented within six months under Government Code § 911.2. Where you live does not change those clocks, so the sooner you call, the more options you keep.
